Trans Data Management Ltd Environmental Responsibility
At TDM we recognise the impact we have on the environment and we wish to minimise the potentially harmful effects wherever and whenever possible. As part of our continuing drive for quality in all things we do, we have developed a policy statement to enable us to promote a culture within the Company which is mindful of our duty towards our environment. We have undertaken to help every TDM person to understand and to implement the relevant aspects of this policy in their day-to-day works through the regular communication of objectives, action plans and achievements.
In particular TDM will:
- Meet, and where appropriate and possible, exceed the requirements of all relevant legislation
- Promote recycling and the use of recycled materials, while reducing consumption of materials and waste wherever possible
- Work with TDM suppliers to minimise the impact of their operations on the environment through our purchasing policy
- Include environmental issues in TDM training programmes and encourage the implementation of sound environmental practices by all TDM people
- Monitor progress and include reporting in our Quality Management Review process
This year TDM has signed up to 10:10; the international project designed to get individuals and businesses from all sectors of society to commit to reducing carbon emissions by 10% within a year. TDM is instigating a programme intended to transform our working habits and lower our carbon impact. An update on the results of our efforts will be displayed here soon.
